Aywayonhchia’ : Our faces

Temporary
Temporary exhibition from June 21th to October 19th, 2025.

After exploring our permanent exhibition Wendat Endi, which highlights emblematic and lesser-known figures from our Nation’s history, dive into the richness of our present with our temporary exhibition that lets today’s Wendat have their say.

The exhibition features 25 striking portraits of Wendat of all ages, captured by photographer Derek Gros-Louis, who has captured the essence and diversity of our community. Each portrait is accompanied by texts reflecting their thoughts and experiences.

Among those photographed, children from the Wahta school worked on their texts according to several questions they were asked: What does it mean to be Wendat today? What defines you as a member of your Nation? Which character from the permanent exhibition do you identify with? Who is your role model?

Come and be inspired by the faces that tell our collective story. A celebration of our contemporary Wendat identity awaits you! Don’t miss this unique opportunity to feel the vitality of our community. Come and discover the faces of our community.
