Portrait de Charles Huault de Montmagny - Musée huron wendat

Students will experience the political and social reality of the Iroquoians, immersed in the heart of the 17th century in the Ekionkiestha’ longhouse. There they will carry out role-playing games highlighting the matricentric and chieftaincy system. As a team, they will prepare an expedition to trade with the French, like the Huron-Wendat of the time.

  • Election of a clan leader in the national longhouse;
  • Visit the museum’s permanent exhibition;
  • Handling of objects and debate about their choice as a team (furs, hooks, armbands, dolls, pottery, bark baskets…etc.).
